Industry veteran joins Configure One as Sales Team expands

OAK BROOK, IL – November 14, 2016 Gregg Smith joined the ranks of the Configure One sales team today, bringing with him 20+ years of enterprise software sales experience. Born and raised in Michigan, Gregg has honed his sales and leadership skills through experiences with some of the top technology companies in the country. Throughout his career, Gregg has made it a focal point to pursue professional development opportunities at every turn resulting in countless credentials and certifications applicable to the sale of enterprise software.

Gregg is joining the Configure One team as a Senior Solution Executive where he will pick up a territory in the eastern United States. As a Solution Executive, Gregg will work directly with our customers and prospective customers to help determine if Configure One will be an appropriate solution to their business needs. With our focus on complex manufacturing, there are sub-industries, like specialty vehicles, HVAC, and hydraulic pumps, that greatly benefit by implementing a CPQ tool. Gregg’s role will include working with these companies that clearly understand the need, but also identifying other sectors within manufacturing that can gain an advantage by automating their configuration, pricing, and quoting process. In his new role, Gregg will also be critical in problem-solving with our prospective customers. As no two CPQ implementations are the same, it will fall on Gregg to work through any possible use cases so the customer, and Configure One, understands the problem and possible solutions at hand.
