Brian Turner recalls one of the most memorable things about Cincinnati Inc. recently moving to partner with Configure One is that nothing about it seemed to be going against the grain.

“Some of the things that Configure One handles best are the same things that are essential to us,” said Turner, manager of Information Services for Cincinnati Inc. “We like their interface and some of the other tools included in the package. Another thing we liked is that Configure One is well established, but not some monster company, which puts us on the same page.”

After being in business for well over a century and becoming incorporated not long after opening its doors, Turner now envisions the two companies growing together once they officially start scheduling training sessions in late February.

Currently, Cincinnati Inc. hails itself as a metal fabricate company that builds machines for the industry. More recently, Turner said the company also ventured into the areas of 3D printing and reselling plasma tables.

On its website, the company touts having shipped more than 50,000 built-to-order machines from its 500,000-square-foot plant and technical centers on an 80-acre campus near Cincinnati, Ohio. The company’s customer base is largely comprised of steel and heavy equipment manufacturers, auto and RV makers, and construction and light-industrial clients.

“One of the big things about this partnership will be use of CPQ that will allow our sales people to quote figures in field and perhaps take orders by logging into our systems while they are still with a customer,” Turner said. “That’s a real change in how we do things now and will make us more modern. We are constantly looking at technology and trying to make use of more modern concepts.”

Turner said the two sides formally agreed to terms on the partnership in late December and ever since then having been forging full-steam ahead.
