Configure One has finalized an agreement with Autodesk to acquire the Autodesk CPQ business

OAK BROOK, IL – May 3, 2017 Configure One has finalized an agreement with Autodesk to acquire the Autodesk CPQ (configure price quote) business, formerly known as Autodesk Configure One. As part of this newly completed agreement, the Configure One team and technology has been transferred to Configure One where they will continue to further develop and service their enterprise product configurator & CPQ application.

As a leader in the CPQ space, Configure One joined Autodesk in 2015 where they focused on the manufacturing vertical alongside the Autodesk Fusion family of products. After two years of collaboration, it was determined that it would be in the best interest of Configure One customers if the business focused exclusively on continuing to build out the core configurator & CPQ capabilities.

With all employees focused on the CPQ business, Configure One’s leadership believes the best is yet to come for their users. “Our customers rely on us to stay competitive in the marketplace. With this move, we’re excited about the dedicated effort we can put into innovating and developing to keep our customers ahead of the curve,” said Configure One’s V.P. Product Development, Michael McDonnell.

Included in this agreement is the transfer of all Configure One customers to the new entity where, without pause, they will continue to receive the high standard of support they have come to expect from Autodesk and Configure One. “We learned a lot working with Autodesk,” said Dan Howe, V.P. Professional Services, “by implementing some best practices, we will be able to provide a consulting experience second to none in the industry.” As all dedicated CPQ employees are moving to Configure One, existing customers will be able to continue ongoing projects with the same personnel with whom they have worked over the prior months or years.
