Trinity Trailers Keeps on Trucking with Configure One

Leading designer and manufacturer of conveyor trailers and truck beds selects Configure One to replace legacy systems and reduce quote-to-order lead time

OAK BROOK, IL – June 16, 2016 – Autodesk Configure One™, a leading provider of web-based product configurator and CPQ (configure, price, quote) software, today announced that Trinity Trailer Mfg., Inc — a leading designer and manufacturer of conveyor trailers and truck beds—selected Configure One’s Enterprise Product Configurator® after a comprehensive evaluation.

Since inventing and patenting the EagleBridge™ trailer in 1975, Trinity Trailers have excelled at hauling bulk commodities longer than any other self-unloading trailer. With agriculture as the primary focus of its business, Trinity Trailers have gained a reputation of longevity and reliability even in the most challenging conditions.

Although Trinity Trailers in-house system performed well, the company wanted to automate and streamline its CPQ process by integrating all of its core business applications. “We currently use a spreadsheet-based tool that is integrated with our ERP system,” said John Eisenman, President. “We have a highly configurable product and most are custom built. There is always a lot of back and forth between the customer and our sales team. With our existing system we can produce a quote in a day. The problem arises when customers change their minds, and we have to re-quote, going through the entire process from the beginning. Our vision is to integrate all of our systems together to provide a seamless process that’s accurate, easy-to-use, and gives us the shortest quote-to-order lead time.”

Trinity Trailers’ goal is to make it easier for its sales force and dealer network to configure products and generate accurate, more intuitive quotes faster. “We were looking for a web-based system that would enable our sales force to work anywhere,” said Eisenman. “In the end, we wanted to improve the customer buying experience, and be known as a company that’s easy to do business with.”

After a comprehensive evaluation, Trinity Trailers selected Configure One’s Enterprise Product Configurator. “Configure One had a great sales team and they were easy to work with,” said Eisenman. “We really liked the user interface, but it was the demo that really sold us. Another big factor was the integration to Salesforce® and Infor® Visual, our CRM and ERP applications. We felt confident that Configure One has the tools and experience to make that happen. In the future, we want to integrate with Autodesk® Inventor to show our customers 2D or 3D images of exactly what their configured product will look like.”

According to Eisenman, Configure One will help drive benefits across a number of departments once the project is fully implemented. “We are hoping to produce accurate quotes a lot faster, and handle changes and re-pricing far more efficiently. By integrating Configure One with Salesforce and Infor Visual ERP, we be able to generate bills of material automatically, reduce manual data entry, eliminate mistakes, and produce professional-looking quotes and sales orders. In addition, Configure One will enable our sales team to work more efficiently with our engineers. By eliminating paperwork and emails we expect to automate and streamline communication between the two groups. We are committed to providing our sales team with the very best tools to deliver on our vision.”
“We are excited to work with yet another configurable trailer manufacturer,” said Justin Rogers, Product Specialist Sales Executive for Configure One. “More and more companies are turning to Configure One to automate streamline their CPQ process and empower their sale force.”
